Come see Georgia's finest pitmasters battle for $10,000 in cash prizes!

The highlight of the Georgia Barbecue Classic is the Professional Competition, where the top teams from across the South will battle for the title of Grand Champion and over $10,000 in prize money. The professional cooking teams will compete in the four KCBS meat categories: pork shoulder, pork ribs, beef brisket and chicken, as well as the non-sanctioned categories of barbecue sauce and dessert.

On Saturday you'll be free to stroll among the pro team's camps, checking out the different smokers and watching the cooks work their magic with smoke and meat. Keep in mind though that this competition is serious business for the professional cooks and don't interrupt them when they are busy preparing their entries for judging. New This Year - Early Bird Rebate!

To encourage teams to sign up for the GBC early, this year we're doing something new! Every Pro Division teams whose application and payment is received prior to May 6th will be entered in our Early Bird Rebate drawing. At the GBC awards ceremony, one team will be selected at random to receive a refund of their $250 contest entry fee. (Teams with free entries are not eligible to win.)
