We are the 'Backside Barbecue' team.  Just sent in the application and are very happy to join the party.  We are a team of 5 friends that hang out weekly at pokernight, church, and BBQ parties at each of our houses.  We are local to Cartersville and hope to meet some great folks.

I certainly understand your concern! 
 
Many coordinators, including myself, are still on-board and will continue to provide the same level of professionalism, fairness, and quality that we provided when we were sanctioned.
 
As that pertains to judging, we endeavor to have the same caliber of experienced judges for this year's event as we have had in years past.  In fact, the majority of our judge applicants to date are KCBS judges returning from the previous years' competitions.
 
Considering the positive response to our applications thus far as well as the numerous complements we receive each year on our event, I feel confident that we will have a superb team of experienced judges for you, the great backyard barbecue cooks. Clap
 
We look forward to seeing you in June, for the 7th Annual Georgia Barbecue Classic benefitting the Good Neighbor Shelter!

Judging Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 Georgia Barbecue Classic.
 
You do not need to be a certified judge in order to judge this year's event.
 
However, competition BBQ judging experience is preferred.
