Barbecue Cookoff

2009 Open Pit Challenge Winners

The spirit of barbecue is kept alive by the cooks who keep the fire burning in their grills no matter what the weather, all for the sake of creating the perfect rib or tailgate party. The Classic salutes these weekend barbecuers with our Barbecue Cookoff.

Take the time to chat with these folks (many are probably your neighbors) and you'll understand the passion barbecue inspires. Visitors to The Classic can sample barbecue and vote for the their favorite cooks in the prestigious People's Choice award!

Note: Samples available while supplies last. Come early!

The Classic Stage

The Classic Stage

Southern music shares the same roots in Georgia as barbecue, so it's only natural that you can enjoy both at the GBC. Regional acts will be performing on the Classic Stage both Friday and Saturday.

Check the performance schedule as the date of the Classic nears to see when your favorite entertainers will be on stage.
